PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent light leakage from the outside of a black mask frame part of a liquid crystal display panel and further to improve the utilization factor of the light. SOLUTION: A rectangular frame shaped reflection sheet 56 stuck to a rear surface of a rectangular frame shaped light shielding sheet 55 is disposed between the liquid crystal display panel 41 and a backlight 51. Inside edges of both sheets 55, 56 are placed on positions corresponding to the outside of an inside edge of a frame part 48b of a black matrix 48 and their outside edges are placed on positions corresponding to the outside of an outside edge of the frame part 48b of the black matrix 48 and light out of light from the backlight 51 incident on the reflection sheet 56 is reflected there and reused. In this case, the light shielding sheet 55 functions as a means to certainly prevent the light leakage from a gap d4 of a certain degree formed between the outside edge of the black matrix 48 and a wall surface of a display window 38 of a surface side case 32. |
