PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a three-dimensional computer graphics of a subject from a pair of stereo images of the subject. SOLUTION: A pair of stereo image is photographed for an object of expression of the three-dimensional computer graphics as a subject. The corresponding points of the object are extracted from the photographed pair of stereo images, and two-dimensional coordinate values on the left image and the right image of these points are calculated. From the combination of these points, a pair of stereo images are measured in a photograph. At this moment, calculation accuracy is raised by using a hereditary algorithm and renewing the combination of the points. When a three-dimensional coordinates data of the object is obtained from the calculation, by using it, a polygon is produced and solid model of the object is described by VRML. Then, from one of pair of stereo images, an image is cut out matching the polygon and it is mapped on the solid model as a texture.
