The aim is to choose fuel oils, that produce environmentally acceptable combustion products and especially, that the NOx concentration of flue gases should be low. Fuel oils satisfying such criteria contain 40 wt.% maximum water and 15 wt.% maximum of one or several additives. In this case 0.1-2.5 wt.% of a further NOx emission lowering component is added to the fuel oil, namely a carbamic acid derivative. as carbamide, biuret, semi-carbazide, carbamic acid salts and/or (1-10C alkyl)-urethane. |
