PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that is designed to be environmentally-friendly by judging the blackening rate of image data stored in a memory, and discontinuing image formation or altering density, etc., thereby continuing image formation and also reduces a running cost by reducing coloring material consumption. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a control means that discontinues image formation carried out by the recording means when a blackening-rate determining means determines that a blackening rate is higher than a reference. |
