PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for defining the function configurations of a task application system capable of reducing any labor or time required for a request defining process, and efficiently executing the sharing or reuse of common components by validating the definition of uniform function configurations. SOLUTION: This function configuration definition supporting system 10 is provided with an input control means 11, an output control means 12, a function configuration defining function 13, a function model data base 14, and a function configuration generation result data base 15. The function configuration defining mechanism 13 generates the function configuration of the task application system to be designed based on the function model indicating the typical function configurations of a task application system stored in the function model data base 14 according to input information transferred through the input control means 11.
