PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents a short circuit or the like when checking whether the apparatus can be reused or not and that is capable of securely reading internal information, by providing an independent power source section for a nonvolatile storage device. SOLUTION: The apparatus has the power source section 7, and an engine control section 9 having a storage section 2 and a switch 10 that supplies/stops power from the power source section 7 to the storage section 2. The apparatus also has an external display section 5 that is freely connected to or separated from the engine control section 9 and reads and displays image-forming- apparatus internal information stored in the storage section 2. |
