PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transport slurry without additive in normal operation, and adding the additive (stabilizer, dispersant) previously prepared in the slurry in a pipeline by a supply means at a time of a shutdown to prevent settlement of solid particles until restart. SOLUTION: Settling slurry is transported by a force-feed pump 3 through the pipeline 2. Additive supplying means T1, T2, T3 for supplying the stabilizer for suppressing the settlement of the solid particles and the dispersant for reducing viscosity of the slurry to the settling slurry transported through the pipeline are provided in a site of the force-feed pump 3. The stabilizer and dispersant are supplied in the pipeline 2 by the additive supply means just before the pipeline transportation is stopped, the supply of the additive is continued until the stabilizer and dispersant are spread uniformly in a total area of the pipeline 2, and the supply is stopped after spread.
