PURPOSE: An apparatus for drying food is provided to improve heat transfer efficient of disks by steam, through effective inflow of steam and effective exhaust of condensate. CONSTITUTION: A dividing plate, dividing the inside of disks(400, 400a), is formed around a connecting pipe(300). Through holes(412) are formed, nearing the outer periphery of the connecting pipe, to each space part formed by the dividing plate. The through holes of each disk are connected each other by condensate pipes(413,413a). The end of the condensate pipe connected with the through hole of the last disk is connected with the inside of the connecting pipe. Steam pipes(310), vertically passing through each space part of the disks, are installed to the outer periphery of the connecting pipe. Steam is moved through the steam pipes and condensate in the disks is not moved to the steam pipes. The condensate is moved effectively and quickly to the condensate pipe through the through holes and is exhausted to the connecting pipe. Accordingly, the heat transfer effect of the disks by steam is improved.
