PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately decide the optimum recording power value and other recording conditions even in a linear velocity different from that of the trial writing. SOLUTION: The trial writing is performed by a trial writing part 106 at an inner peripheral PCA area and at the outer side than the terminal of a user area on the outer periphery, and the inner peripheral result and the outer peripheral result are stored respectively in an inner peripheral result storage part 107 and an outer peripheral result storage part 111, then the selection is made whether the recording condition of a whole area is decided by using only the inner peripheral result with a selection instructing signal, or the recording condition of the whole area is obtained from both results of the inner periphery and outer periphery, and in the case the decision is made from only the inner peripheral result, the result of the inner peripheral result storage part 107 is converted to the recording condition of each linear velocity area by a 1st conversion part 109, while in the case made from both results of the inner periphery and outer periphery, the conversion is made to the recording condition of each linear velocity by a 2nd conversion part 112 from both results of the inner peripheral result storage part 107 and the outer peripheral result storage part 111. |
