PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensively manufacturable excavating bucket for an earth drill easy in installation on a kelly-bar. SOLUTION: This excavating bucket is provided with a cylindrical bucket body 10 having an opening under surface, a plurality of excavating blades 11 installed at an interval in the circumferential direction on the lower end of the bucket body 10, a bucket claw 12 arranged in the bucket body 10 so as to be openable-closable, a shaft member 13 transmitting torque and pressing force of the kelly-bar 7 to the bucket body 10, and coaxially arranged in the bucket body 10, and the shaft member 13 relatively movable by a specific distance in the vertical direction to the bucket body 10, an operation member 14 for opening-closing the bucket claw 12 by a relative movement in the vertical direction of the shaft member 13 to the bucket body 10, an energizing means 15 for energizing the shaft member 13 upward to the bucket body 10, and a lock means 16 capable of locking the bucket claw 12 so as to be unopenable- unclosable in an opening position.
