PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially and advantageously producing cyclopropylmethanol at a low cost. SOLUTION: This method for producing the cyclopropylmethanol is to react cyclopropane carbaldehyde with a secondary alcohol in the presence of an aluminum alkoxide.
