The dispenser has a paper roll (10) housed in a compartment in a fixed holder (1). The compartment (2) has a front opening (3) with a hinged cover (4). The support (5) for the roll is on the inner face of the hinged cover so the roll is accessible when the cover is open. Slots (11,12) in the side walls of the holder guide the spindle (6) supporting the paper roll when the cover is closed.
