The hydrocyclone assembly has a number of hydrocyclones (1,1'), each with an inflow connection (2) and an outflow connection (3) for useful material and an outflow connection (4) for rejected material. A distributor (5) recirculates liquid through the hydrocyclones, in and out of them, with at least one horizontal feed tube (6) and at least one horizontal tube (7) for usable material. The two tubes are in a vertical stack, over the hydrocyclones, parallel to each other and with their center lines on a common vertical plane.
