The charcoal-fired barbecue grill has a grill grid (1) fixed to a thrust bar (2). A cylinder (3) extends up to the grid height of the charcoal trough (11) and is fixed to the base of the trough. The cylinder is stabilized with a brace (4) with a screw (5). A lever arm (6) is arranged on a retainer (7) and extends through the cylinder aperture (8). A rotary point (9) on the lever retainer enables the lever arm to move. On one of the feet (12) is the securing device for the lever arm. The aperture of the cylinder is slightly wider than the lever arm, thereby allowing it to be secured.
