The invention relates to an air mass flow meter which is inserted in an intake channel and around which the intake air flows. In order to allow a precise measuring of the intake air mass, constant flow conditions are necessary in the inlet and outlet port region. To this end, at least two flow elements are provided in the inlet port region. Each flow element is provided on each side of said inlet port and forms a flow channel at the side of the insertion area.
