Spiral of silver and non-silver wire attached to plastic household water supply pipe inner face by plastic spacers

An assembly to enhance the quality water for drinking and other general household uses consists of a vessel (1) forming part of a water passage (2). The water passage contains a spiral length of silver wire (1) or a silver gauze twisted with a winding made of another metal (6) with a different normal electrical potential. The metal windings (1,6) are installed especially within a plastic water pipe passage. The second metal is pref. stainless steel. The silver wire may be a silver-galvanised material. The diameter (d) of the spiral is less than that of the pipe inner diameter (D). the twisted wires are held clear of the pipe walls by plastic spacers (8). Two or more sections of the spiral are joined by a flexible linkage (10).
