Method for movement of a cursor (10) on a screen (1) that displays a graphical user interface. The screen has an operation window (4) and an activation field (5). The GUI is divided into a central neutral zone (6) and an outer function zone (7) with a corresponding activation field. The cursor is automatically positioned in the neutral zone; movement of the cursor outside the neutral zone automatically jumps it to the activation field in the direction of its movement. The invention also relates to a corresponding system.
