FIELD: production of brushes. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding yarns of thermoplastic fibers to end rounding tool; subjecting free ends of fibers to the action of working surface of tool, with fibers being maintained in direction of axial alignment with yarn and free ends of fibers defining surface extending in plane different from plane perpendicular to said axial direction and being laterally bent by working surface of tool; removing yarn of thermoplastic fibers from station where fibers are gathered and preliminarily cut; effectuating frictional heating of fibers by providing relative displacement of fiber yarn ends and working surface of tool at predetermined frictional force; locating fibers into container with fibers having bent ends. Method allows large amounts of fibers to be simultaneously processed. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of brushes. 19 cl, 8 dwg |
