FIELD: machine engineering, possibly combination type turning and abrasive working of outer cylindrical surfaces of parts such as shafts. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of rotating part whose one end is mounted in spindle of machine tool; working part by means of turning unit and radially moved abrasive unit; simultaneously moving both members along rotation axis of part; mounting other end of worked part in guiding sleeve; using for finish abrasive working abrasive blocks movably mounted in rack strips by means of "dovetail" joint; providing engagement of rack strips with central spiral disc. Said disc engages with small cone pinion of radial drive for tuning abrasive blocks. At turning process abrasive blocks serve as movable rest.
