METHOD FOR RESTORATION OF ACHILLES TENDON AT RUPTURES

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with treating motor system and could be used for operative interference in case of recent and chronic lesions of Achilles tendon. The method deals with restoration of tendon in case of ruptures due to fixation of adjacent tendinous ends. The novelty lies in the fact that proximal tendinous department sutured above defective area with P-shaped loop-like sutures should be descended, replaced to the front into wound's depth and fixed through cross-sectional channel to calcaneus, as for bundles of split fibers at tendinous ends they are thoroughly adapted and connected by single thin sutures to provide tightness of connection without any destruction of blood supply. The method enables to protect the tendon under restoration against disconnecting muscular efforts at conducting earlier kinesitherapy and loading for leg. EFFECT: increased mechanical strength of connection. 3 dwg
