The invention concerns a process which consists in: assigning to each user wishing to restore a document a smart card (6) containing identification data; identifying from a server (2) connected to a digital data transmission network (1) a smart card (6) connected to the network; transmitting to the server (2) data identifying a document to be restored, from a terminal (9) connected to a smart card; transmitting in response a decryption key specific to the document to be restored which is stored in the smart card; decrypting the document to be restored, by means of an adapted reader (4) connected to the smart card (6), with the stored decryption key, to restore the document using the reader; inserting in the smart card identification data of readers (4); and determining a fraudulent use of the smart card, on the basis of data identifying readers, stored in the smart card. |
