<p>The invention concerns a pipe assembling connection, designed in particular for high purity gas distribution lines. Said connection is used for pipes which are each terminated by a tubular end piece (2) including a flange (23) forming a radial support bearing surface for an axially clamping threaded ring of a sealing joint (3) interposed between the connecting ends (22) of said end pieces. It comprises an annular shell (11, 12) with radial clamping effect around said end pieces, including bevel edges (13) co-operating with the matching bevelled surfaces (43) provided on adapting elements (4) urged to be supported on said radial bearing surfaces to cause, when said shell is radially clamped, the two connecting ends (22) to be radially brought together, thereby ensuring a sealing assembly by radial clamping of said sealing joint (3).</p> |
