LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION

A lubricating oil composition which is highly effective in wearing prevention and prevents pitching to attain an improved fatigue life. It is usable especially as an automotive transmission oil. The composition comprises a lube base oil and incorporated therein based on the whole lubricating oil composition: A 0.004 to 0.05 wt.% ash-free boron compound dispersant in terms of boron amount B at least 0.01 wt.% alkaline earth metal compound cleaning agent having a total base number of 0 to 500 mgKOH/g, in terms of alkaline earth metal amount and C 0.01 to 0.3 wt.% sulfur compound additive in terms of sulfur amount.
