The present invention relates to diimine transition metal compounds having aryl groups with one or more electron-attracting substituents, compositions containing diimine transition metal compounds having aryl groups with one or more electron-attracting substituents, which are useful as catalysts for the polymerization of olefins, such as ethene/propene or ethene/alpha-olefin copolymerization.
