The sensor circuit for determining the camber value of a road has a steerable wheel connected to a steering control for automatic initiation of an automatic steering operation independently of the driver. At least one variable value of the vehicle dynamics, such as yaw or transverse acceleration, is then detected and stored. A processor determines the camber from the stored values.
