<p>A heating element doubling as a gas absorber, especially a heating element used as a building interior material also functioning as a noxious gas absorber in rooms. The heating element comprised a compact including high-temperature charcoal carbonized at at least 800˚C, and two electrodes capable of supplying current to the compact, the current being supplied to the electrodes for a heating use. The compact including high-temperature charcoal carbonized at at least 800˚C is an excellent heating element, and can absorb various gases effectively. When combined with low-temperature charcoal carbonized at up to 500˚C and further with alginic acid or calcium oxide, the compact functions as a heating element excellent in absorption activity.</p> |
