THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER COMPOSITION

A thermoplastic elastomer composition having a thermoplastic elastomer material and a filler, characterized in that the filler comprises a carbon fiber having a length of 0.1 to 50 μm and a diameter of 0.002 to 0.5 μm. The carbon fiber is preferably a hollow fiber having a length of 0.1 to 30 μm and a diameter of 2 to 60 nm, i.e., the so−called carbon nanotube, or a fiber having been prepared by the vapor phase growth method and having a length of 1 to 50 μm and a diameter of 0.05 to 0.5 μm, i.e., the so−called vapor phase grown carbon fiber. The carbon fiber is preferably contained in an amount of 0.001 to 20 vol % relative to the total amount of the thermoplastic elastomer composition. The thermoplastic elastomer composition is good in thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, thermal resistance, mechanical characteristics and the like, and also is excellent in moldability, such as kneadability.
