A dart (100) for the game of darts, the dart having a longitudinal axis (135), the dart (100) comprising: a point (105) having a tip and a rear surface, the point (105) slidably, pivotably and removably mounted in a bore (195) in a first end of a barrel (115); a spring (145) mounted inside of the barrel (115) for operatively moving the point with respect to the barrel (115); and a leading edge of a flight (125) operatively attached to a second end of the barrel (115), the second end of the shaft (120) opposite from the first end of the shaft (120).
