FIELD: water treatment. SUBSTANCE: method of water ozonization involves addition of alkaline, earth-alkaline metal chlorides to treatable water before ozonization process. Metal chlorides of 8-th group of Periodic system are added as catalyst. Salts are added in the ratios: M1 : M2 = 0.001-0.1 g x eqv/l; M2 : M3 = 0.001-0.1 g x eqv/l where M1 is concentration of alkaline metal ions, g x eqv/l; M2 is concentration of earth-alkaline metal ions, g x eqv/l; M3 is concentration of metals of 8-th group of Periodic system, g x eqv/l. Invention provides the enhancement of effectiveness of oxidative effect of ozone aqueous solutions due to increase of solubility and chemical stability of ozone in aqueous medium. Invention can be used for treatment of drinking and sewage waters, disinfection of food industry equipment, sterilization and degasification of other objects.
