Binary quasi-orthogonal code generating method in code division multiple access communication system, involves selecting quasi-orthogonal code satisfying a correlation property, from code candidate families

Kerdock codes of left and right sequences having full correlation property with m-sequence are generated. Sequences are column permutated while converting m-sequence to Walsh orthogonal code. Right and left sequences are connected to generate mask candidates which are operated to generate quasi-orthogonal code candidate families for selecting quasi-orthogonal code satisfying partial correlation property. A mask is selected corresponding to the generation of selected quasi-orthogonal code. The sequences are column permutated by independently shifting them and inserting 0' at the head of the shifted sequences.
