Fresh food transport container has nitrogen-enriched and climate-controlled air conditioning system

A food transport container has a controlled atmosphere (1) with a nitrogen-rich compressed air supply (6) and humidity regulator (7, 8). The compressor (5) may have a condensate cyclone separator (15), an aerosol micro-filter (17) downstream from the separator (15), and an adsorption drier (19) downstream from the micro-filter (17). The filter (17) reduces the compressed air pressure dew point of -40 deg C to below a pre-determined value. The cyclone separator has an automated condensate drain (16). The filter removes particles more than 0.01 mm from compressed air and limits residual aerosols to a maximum of 0.01 mg/ml. The air conditioning system supplies compressed air which clean, dry and nitrogen-enriched.
