FIELD: units for treatment of liquid steel. SUBSTANCE: proposed unit has lower part with submerged pipes, center part with charging unit and upper part with connecting tube for evacuation of waste gases located at right angle relative to central axis of unit; it is provided waste gas cooling device and external metal casing; lower and center parts of unit are lined with refractory material; upper part of unit and connecting tube are provided with water cooling system. Waste gas cooling device is made in form of gas cooling line adjoining connecting tube for evacuation of waste gases. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of connection. 8 cl, 4 dwg
