Treatment device is connected to process and rinsing baths via pipe lines and is continuously charged with a determined amount of the liquid to be cleaned. A return line for the treated process and/or rinsing bath liquids is provided in the baths. Preferred Features: The treatment device consists of reaction containers (5, 6) each having stirring cells and electrically operated stirring devices (7-10). The reaction container (5) treats oil-containing liquid from the process bath (1) whilst the reaction container (6) treats the bath liquid from the rinsing bath (2).
