A locking ring (2) positioned on a gear shaft (1) has holes (3) into which fits a swivel mounted pawl (9). A swivel-mounted selector lever (4) grips a rods system (5) which holds rollers (6,7) at one end. A first roller activates a ramp profile (10) on the back (8) of the pawl facing away from the ring. The end of the rods system holding the rollers is guided in an L or U shaped guide-plate (12) which has a horizontal wall (13) supporting the second roller. The plate has at least one side wall (14) the edge of which has protuberances (19) fitting into elongated openings (18) in the horizontal wall.
