FIELD: foam-type high-velocity straight-flow heat- and mass-exchange apparatus for performing absorption, chemical sorption, humidification and dust separation processes. SUBSTANCE: proposed apparatus intended for operation in gas-and-liquid system in straightflow mode has vertical cylindrical housing, plate with contact branch pipe in its center and reflector with plates located on upper end of contact branch pipe. Plate and overflow pipes are horizontal in form. Overflow pipes are mounted in lower portion of contact branch pipe projecting inside it; ratio of diameter of contact branch pipe to its height is equal to (0.8-1.5):1 and ratio of section of contact branch pipe to total section of overflow pipes is equal to (10-20): 1.
