FIELD: wood-working industry. SUBSTANCE: planing machine has cutter shaft drive made in the form of pneumatic engine with discharge of used pressurized air into exhaust system. Aerostatic bearings are used in cutter shaft supports. Each of front channeled roll and rear smooth roll is equipped with individual drive. Wedge mechanism with screw drive and pneumatic cylinders are adapted for adjusting table relative to cutter shaft by lifting table prior to moving wedges of wedge system.
