METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SCREENING ANALYTES USING SURFACE PLASMON RESONANCE

The present invention relates to a method and device for screening analytes using surface plasmon resonance. In the present invention, a disposable flow cell unit to be adapted to a miniaturized SPR sensor is provided. The flow cell incorporates reaction chambers, valves, distributing connectors, and reagents to perform a rapid one-step quantitative assay in a sample solution (e.g. whole blood, serum, saliva, urine, or other bodily fluids). Also, the flow cell could be adapted to biosensors for nucleic acid and small molecule detection. Possible applications include food quality control, environmental screening, and point-of-care test devices. The SPR sensor preferably has a plurality of sensing surfaces capable of performing independent assays.
