A drinking water heater has an inlet (B), heater/coolers (25, 15) and a 65[deg]C legionnaire's disease disinfecting chamber (2) with a discharge. Water is brought to the correct temperature by a mixer valve (11) and circulated (A) to discharge points. During periods of nil discharge, water continues to circulate through the heater/cooler and is raised to the disinfecting temperature. Following heating to disinfecting temperature part (U1, V1) of the flow feeds to the circulating water heater (25) where it heats returning water (B). This flow (U1, V1) then feeds to the sole mixer valve (11) where it joins a further return-feed and is then returned to the main circulation pipe (A).
|
