In order to keep the center of gravity as low as possible the seat of a go-kart is moved at a small distance from the surface of the lane only and is frequently damaged from below because it touches the ground. The new design of a seat (1) designed as a single shell (2) with integrated back (6) and armrests (9) is fitted with an exchangeable bottom pad (8), made either of a cheaper material meant to be disposed of after a short time or of a more durable, more expensive material for being exchanged less frequently.
