<p>A blow feed weld gun (30) for welding a nut (32) to a metal substrate is disclosed. The blow feed weld gun (30) has an air feed mechanism (33) and a nut drive mechanism (41 ). The nut drive mechanism (41) contains a primary piston assembly (42) located within a cylindrical working chamber (40). The primary piston assembly (42) is coupled to a first driven piston (54) which is hollow and defines a passage (94) which welding gasses and/or air can be delivered to the threads of a threaded weld nut (32).</p> |
