The roof has a movable cover and a cable connection arrangement between the cover and a fixed component and attached at two points. The cable is U-shaped between the attachment points and rolls on adjacent contact surfaces fixed with respect to the roof when the cover is moved. The cable connection arrangement is in a horizontal plane and consists of a strip-shaped flexibly elastic cable bearer with at least one attached round cable. The roof has a cover movable with respect to a roof opening and an electrical cable connection arrangement (7) between the cover and a fixed component (5) and attached at two points. The cable is U-shaped between the attachment points (8,9) and rolls on two adjacent contact surfaces (10,11) when the cover is moved. The contact surfaces are fixed with respect to the roof. The cable connection arrangement is in a horizontal plane and consists of a strip-shaped flexibly elastic cable bearer (13) and at least one round cable (14) attached to it.
