FIELD: military engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to building of bridgeworks over channels, narrow rivers, gullies and other obstacle. Proposed bridge layer consists of base vehicle, bridge, power transmission to bridge laying mechanism and mechanism to lock bridge truss in traveling position. Novelty is that bridge layer contains two enginetransmission and one central sections, the latter being suspended between two transmission sections. Sections are installed with possibility of uncoupling. Bridge is transported on central section resting on engine-transmission sections. Power transmissions to bridge laying mechanism and mechanism to lock bridge in traveling position are located on central section which is furnished with and telescopic supports. EFFECT: increased bridge lifting and lowering angles and width of covered obstacle. 5 dwg
