The buckle for a safety belt with three branches is of the type described in the Italian patent application for utility model No. TO98U 000121. According to the invention it comprises: a rocking lever (17); and an appendage (15.4) of the push-button (15), in such a way that: when the buckle (10) is in the open condition (belt unhitched), said push-button (15) is kept in said resting position; whilst when the shafts of the tongues (11.1, 11.2) are inserted, there is achieved the condition of proper and stable closing of the buckle (10), and, conversely, when the push-button (15) is pressed, the buckle (10) is opened, the tongues (11.1, 11.2) are extracted, and the release button (15) is brought back into its said resting position.
