<p>A multi-format transport stream decoder in which first transport streams of different formats are subjected to a desired processing to create a second transport stream. A processing request information input unit (APR) inputs packet data (Pi) to be processed and processing request information (ScW) indicating the processing content. A stream identification information assigning unit (TSRi) assigns stream identification information (TSID) to the first transport stream (TSi). A packet data holding/identification unit (DBA) holds each of the first packet data (Pi) and compares the stream identification information (TSIDe) and the packet data identification information (PIDe) of the first packet data (Pi) to the processing request information (ScW) to determine whether the information is to be processed.</p> |
