The system is intended for the control and elimination of hydrogen and combustible gases in the air with the aid of catalysts. The system comprises a device consisting of a passive hydrogen recombiner and a control detector, in which free convective supply of a registered and eliminated gaseous mixture of components is used, said components having the same type of construction, wherein the detector can be placed either inside or outside the recombiner.
