The stamp mounting for a punch press has a stamp (10) with a cylindrical shaft (14) on which a cutting head (12) is mounted via an adjusting ring. The stamp cutting head is mounted on the shaft for rotational angular adjustment in that the adjusting ring has spaced notches engaged by a positioning pin (20). The shaft has an annular groove (18) to receive an axial locking detent ball on the adjusting ring.
