An electrically insulated guide plate (22), secured on a support base (21), has a set of parallel inner guide holes and a set of parallel outer guide holes. Each contact pin (40) has an inner end (41) entered into each inner guide hole, an outer end (42) inserted into each outer guide hole, and a support beam (43) linking the ends. The beam inner and outer ends are parallel with each other. With each contact pin secured to each inner guide hole and each outer guide hole on the guide plate, the juncture of the beam and each of inner/outer ends of the pin is surrounded by a cavity (50,51) on the support base. An Independent claim is also included for a combination of a mounting apparatus and an electronic device package.
