The present discloses a procedure for the fabrication of bisphenols starting from phenols and substituted phenols and ketones or diols in the presence of a hydrogen chloride and a volatile sulfur compound with a SH bond; the reactants are reacted in a reactor, the mixture of product and starting products is transferred to a distillation device and the catalysts with the reaction water are separated from the product by distillation, obtaining reaction speeds and substantially higher selectivities.
