SURGICAL METHOD FOR TREATING SCOLIOSIS CASES

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out laminectomy operation and accessing vertebral canal. Capillary blood circulation in the spinal cord is measured by means of needle-type intraoperative transducer in cranial and caudal positions relative to the deformation top. Diskotomy is carried out and the capillary blood circulation is repeatedly measured. Screw rods are introduced into vertebrae disposed in cranial and caudal positions relative to the diskotomy position. External transpedicular fixation device is mounted. Capillary blood circulation being below 20 ml/min x 100g at the deformation top position and from 18 to 40 ml/min x 100g in cranial position relative to it, intraoperative distraction is carried out on concave side to be not greater than 5 mm. Conservative therapy is administered to improve spinal cord microcirculation. Blood circulation being greater than 25 ml/min x 100g at the deformation top position and from 18 to 40 ml/min x 100g in caudal position relative to it, 5 to 20 mm distraction is carried out.
