A relay box 23 used as a device for vehicles is upwardly separably supported on a bracket 26 installed on the front surface of a damper housing 22. The bracket 26 and the upper surface of a wheel house 21 are connected by a deformable member 27 having a first plate-like portion 27a, a bent portion 27b and a second plate-like portion 27c, with the bent portion 27b facing the lower surface of the relay box 23. When the wheel house 21 is deformed rearward upon vehicle collision, the deformable member 27 is deformed into an inverted V-shape, with its bent portion 27b pushing up the relay box 23 to separate the latter from the car body. This makes it possible to secure a crush stroke for the engine room, not only enhancing the shock absorbing performance but also minimizing the damage to the relay box 23.
